Evolutionists whole worldview revolves around the principle idea that we are all here randomly. We, like the animals we descended from, have a completely meaningless existence designed only to pro-create and die. Our life experience has nothing to with happiness but of necessity and survival.
If our lives are so random and meaningless then why the heck do we all have emotions? Why do we suffer one minute and have intense joy the next? Why is their pain and tragedy in this world? It's in these questions that a severe and fundamental flaw presents itself within the evolutionist's idea of existence. The following article expands on these questions and exposes evolution for what it really is: a deeply flawed ideology.
Are We Are All Just Complicated Meat Bags?
You've all seen the pictures. You know, the one with the hunched over 'ape man' that gradually develops into a primitive, very hairy dude. It's this diagram that's in every textbook in high school and is lectured in college campuses. It's this picture that forms there entire belief system of how our incredible complex bodies came into being. Now, If you take this idea of our origins to it's natural conclusion, then you'll understand that what evolutionists believe is that we are all really just animals. Granted we seem to be a little more advanced then our primate counterparts, but we're still technically animals. They'll also tell you that we have instincts and needs just like animals and that our necessity for survival mimics them too. When a Christian looks in the mirror, they see a body that has been intelligently designed by someone greater then ourselves. When evolutionists look at themselves in the same mirror, they see an ape with a billion years worth of mutations. They see themselves as a random by-product, an insignificant sack of meat. Some mornings I honestly do look in the mirror and see an ape looking back at me but after I few yawns and some masculine chest pounding, I start looking better. But that's neither here nor there. My point is that they look at themselves with no purpose. It is a terrible way to look at yourself. I mean, their whole life experience is a mere animalistic existence; One that only seeks for self satisfaction and survival; One that has no meaning and has no moral compass.
The Emotional Problem
Herein lies the sweet justice of having a perfect argument. After your kook evolutionist friend concedes that we are all just animals, you come out with both guns blazing. Inform Him (Her) that if we are all just animals living a meaningless existence, then what is the purpose of emotions. And I don't mean the basic stuff like fear and happiness that animals experience. I'm asking about the really complex stuff like hatred and love. If our lives are so basic and rudimentary, why do we experience these completely unique and powerful emotions? They may spout of some crap about how even though we are technically animals, we are much more complex. Our brains are bigger and we have more advanced behaviors blah blah blah. That's not the point. If we truly are animals then we shouldn't experience and form of complex emotions. That is something that definitely didn't evolve. If it did, then there should be missing links all over the place. We should be able to find some animal out there with the same or slightly less amount of emotional intelligence that we, as humans possess. But we don't. The' re all still animals with the same limited intelligence and nothing changes.
The Tip of the Iceberg
Dealing with emotions is just one form of this argument. There can be many points made from there principle idea that we are all animals. Morality also presents a huge problem if we are just insignificant meat bags. They will tell you that right and wrong are objective and have no meaning. Well, if that's the case then why does every human have a pre-programmed moral compass? Why do we think it's wrong to murder or to steal? Why do we have guilt when we commit wrong? Are these random thoughts that have no meaning too? I mean where do we draw the line? When are evolutionists going to flat out say that murdering someone is totally up to the individual and is not technically wrong?
Another problem is pain and suffering. They claim that these feelings are just evolutionary steps to determine who is capable of surviving. Well my evolutionist friend, If you actually believe that then tell me those same things when your wife dies. Tell me that death is all part of the process when your child dies. You better not shed a tear, or feel sorrow, or mourn because that would go against your whole detached worldview. This is where evolutionists ideology literally shatters into a million pieces. How can someone live so isolated with reality? They will claim that death and tragedy are meaningless, but come on! Anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one knows better then that. The pain goes to deep to be meaningless. The loss can be unbearable. To not accept that fact would truly be animalistic behavior. But maybe, at the end of the day, that's what those kooks want to be like.
In Conclusion
The very idea that we are here randomly is an insult. Not only for the cause for intelligent design but for intelligence in general. The human body, with all it's intelligence and conscious thought,is perhaps the most complex and intricate....well...anything in our world. All the great discoveries and breakthroughs that have been made have only yet scratched the surface. How can anyone understand so little about our complexity, and still insist on our random origin? It boggles my mind. It's at this point when evolution goes right out the scientific window and becomes an ideology. A flawed belief system that millions are ready to accept in a heartbeat, even without considering the ramifications.
